Inman's View of the World
With more than 30 years of decorated service to the United States, Admiral (ret.) Bobby Inman held multiple, key positions in the United States Intelligence Community. With the rank of four-star Admiral, Mr. Inman served three U.S. presidents as Chair of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, and/or Director of the National Security Agency.
After leaving the Navy, Admiral Inman served as chairman and CEO of Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC), chairman and CEO of Westmark Systems, Inc., chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and other roles in higher education.
A respected member of the Austin Council on Foreign Affairs, Admiral Inman shared with the Council his insights and views on national security. It’s a periodic event that members always enjoy. Topics included cyberattacks, quantum computing, regional conflicts, nuclear weapons, narcotics, trade, AI, climate and more.
