About the Council

The Austin Council on Foreign Affairs fosters insightful conversation in an intimate setting among prominent voices in global affairs and international public policy.

Since its founding in 2012, the Council has welcomed distinguished speakers and guests from around the world representing a wide range of countries and global institutions. We offer stimulating conversations that span national security, foreign investment, international conflict, global trends, and more. Participants gain a broader perspective of the complex challenges and opportunities shaping today’s international landscape.

Honoring the principles of Chatham House Rule and non-partisanship, the Council values open, respectful discourse and a diversity of viewpoints to enrich our collective understanding.
